Preity, Lee more than good friends?

    preity zinta

    preity zinta

Preity Zinta is the talk of IPL now, we should say. Earlier she was in the headlines with her break up with her boyfriend Ness Wadia and now she is back again. She is now linked with Brett Lee, the Kings XI Punjab fast bowler. They were seen enjoying together at an IPL cricket party, Daily Telegraph online reported.

But Lee’s manager Neil Maxwell dismissed the rumors stating that Preity and Lee are just very good friends. And their relationship is mere professional. “Brett presented her with an acting award in England some years ago and they’ve been friends since. She is a very intelligent lady and very nice too,” Maxwell was quoted as saying by Daily Telegraph.

Like Preity, Lee is also separated from his wife for the past two years. So, the question pops out..are they good friends or more than just ‘good friends’? Remember she was earlier linked with Yuvraj too.

She’s India’s tennis ace. He’s a high-profile Pakistani cricketer. And they’re all set to get married in Hyderabad early next month.

Sania Mirza and Shoaib Malik are planning a small, private ceremony in Hyderabad, but their match will inevitably generate huge interest in their respective countries.

The couple will be based in Dubai, though Sania will continue to play tennis and represent India, while Shoaib will turn out for Pakistan. The alliance has been blessed by both families.

“This is the biggest day of my life. I have been in the media glare for too long, and would appreciate a little privacy at this very personal moment,” Sania, 23, told TOI.

Shoaib, 28, has pledged Sania his support: “I fully understand what it takes to be an international sportsperson. I’ll support Sania in her career as long as she wishes to play.”

“Representing India at the 2012 Olympics is very important for her, and I will be the proudest husband if she can win a medal for her country,” he said.

    Sehwag becomes No.1 Test batsman

    sehwag

    sehwag

Dubai, Feb 19 (IANS) Indian opener Virender Sehwag dislodged his batting partner Gautam Gambhir from the top of the International Cricket Council’s Test rankings for batsmen to take the number one spot.

Sehwag, who struck back-to-back centuries in the just concluded two-match Test series against South Africa, jumped five places for the No.1 position. Sehwag shot up 52 rating points.

Gambhir’s lacklustre form in the series against South Africa saw him drop four places to fifth position.

Another big mover was Hashim Amla, who climbed eight places to occupy the second position. Amla had a phenomenal series against India, scoring 490 runs with two centuries and one double-hundred and getting out only once. The South African middle order batsman, who was the man of the series, is 21 rating points behind Sehwag.

Sri Lankan Mahela Jayawerdena and Kumar Sangakkara were pushed to third and fourth places.

In the bowling charts, Harbhajan Singh after his spectacular performance in the second Test at Eden Garden, where he claimed eight wickets, jumped five places to seventh position.

South African Dale Steyn maintained his top position with a stellar show in the first Test in Nagpur where he got 10 wickets.

Australian Mitchell Johnson and Pakistan’s Mohammad Asif are placed second and third.

India’s Zaheer Khan remained at sixth position.
